Tasha Smith known for her recurring roles in Tyler Perry movies and sitcoms will be in Houston July 28, 2012, for her Tasha Smith Actors Workshop. Tasha's workshop is based on the Ivana Chubbuck technique.

Ivana Chubbuck is an acting coach and author and is the founder and director of the Ivana Chubbuck Studio. Her students included Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Terrence Howard, Elizabeth Shue, Catherine Keener, Djimon Honsou, America Ferrera, Eva Mendes, Kate Bosworth, Ian Somerhalder, April Bowlby and Glenn McCuen.

TSAW brings each student to the brink of creativity, discovery and revelation of their inherent artistic potential. TSAW also enables students to sharpen their talent through the process of rehearsal and presentation of assigned scenes and allows them to identifyacting blocks and habits that may inhibiy growth, imagination and free expression. These exercises are diagnosed and demystified by Tasha's detailed and demonstrative critique of scene work. The scene study/critique format adapts a tried and proven methodology, resulting in the actor's access to remarkable depth of character development, technical polish and brilliant interplay.

Tasha Smith is a consummate actor and has been seen it 'Daddy's Little Girls,' 'Why Did I Get Married', and 'Why Did I Get Married Too.'

The workshop will be held at the Barnevelder Arts Complex 2201 Preston Street Houston, Texas 77003.
